Today, Governor Wes Moore declared a state of emergency to address the looming halt of federal SNAP benefits, which is set to begin November 1. Maryland Department of Aging Secretary Carmel Roques joined the Governor and other Cabinet members at the Anne Arundel County Food Bank for this critical announcement. More than 120,000 older Marylanders rely on these benefits for food security.
