Sec. Roques joined Congresswoman April McClain Delaney, Senate Majority Leader Nancy King, Montgomery County Council President Kate Stewart, and Delegates Fraser-Hidalgo, Wims, Qi, and Vogel, alongside Montgomery County Area Agency on Aging leadership earlier today at the Upcounty Hub in Germantown to discuss the Governor's $10 million surge in emergency funding to food assistance providers. 121,000 older adults statewide—including over 17,000 in Montgomery County—rely on monthly SNAP payments for food and will not receive benefits starting this weekend. We will continue to work together to respond. If you, or an older adult in your life needs help getting food in the coming weeks, call 1-844-MAP-LINK (1-844-627-5465), or visit marylandaccesspoint.info. The Governor’s website will be continuously updated with additional food resources lists at go.md.gov/federalshutdown
