Today, September 22, marks the first day of fall! 🍂 As we welcome the season of changing leaves, cooler temperatures, and football, let's celebrate the ongoing contributions of LULACers across America. A highlight this season is the Feria de las Flores, organized by LULAC Council 1. This year, they proudly celebrated their 65th annual event, showcasing the vibrant folklorico music, clothing, and dance of Mexico and the Southwest. Cheers to Council 1 and all the amazing LULAC councils that work tirelessly to support Latino communities every day! #30DaysOfActivism

#NationalHispanicHeritageMonth honors the vibrant contributions and cultures of Latinos while highlighting the challenges we face, such as chronic illnesses and limited access to healthcare. On Saturday, September 21, LULAC teamed up with @powerhrg for an incredible health fair in San Antonio, called El Dia de la Familia! 🎉 Our amazing volunteers blended health screenings with fun activities like Zumba, bounce houses, live music, and, of course, free snacks! 💃

🌟✨ Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with LULAC! ✨🌟 LULAC stands strong as a champion for the Latino community, especially as we face ongoing threats to our right to vote. Last month's raids on the homes of elderly LULAC members serve as a chilling reminder of the challenges of voter intimidation and suppression. This Hispanic Heritage Month, our 30 Days of Activism will focus on engaging, empowering, and inspiring our community to be bolder, stronger, and louder. Let’s rally together to defend our voices, fight for our rights, and turn our power on. Every vote matters—let’s ensure that every one of our voices is heard! 💖🌍

Last month, we celebrated the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (#ADA34), a landmark federal law that protects the rights of people with disabilities (#PWDs) by eliminating barriers to their participation in many aspects of living and working in America. Explore the @Office-Of-Disability-Employment-Policy publication, “Employers and the ADA: Myths and Facts,” for some common misconceptions about the law and the research-based facts that negate them. bit.ly/4fLFluK

Every day, the LULAC national office fields calls from across the United States. Whether it’s Latino parents concerned about their children’s right to education, Latino families grappling with the complexities of immigration, voters alarmed by rising voter intimidation, or even non-Latino allies eager to support and empower Latinos, LULAC is there to take their calls and step in when needed. Across the country, many refer to LULAC as both the 411 and 911 for the Latino community—a designation we take very seriously. Over these 30 days of activism, we are demonstrating our commitment and resilience, day in and day out. #LULAC #HispanicHeritageMonth
