Seventy years ago, we introduced the LEGO® System in Play: a simple yet revolutionary idea that every LEGO brick, no matter when it was made, should fit together. Today, the LEGO System in Play remains the foundation for endless creativity and imagination. It’s why every LEGO brick, even those made generations apart, fit together. It’s why a LEGO astronaut can visit the LEGO Boutique Hotel 👩🚀🏨 or a LEGO DUPLO® giraffe can join a LEGO City adventure. 🦒🏙️ To celebrate this milestone, we’re taking a trip down through the LEGO archive to trace the evolution of how the System in Play has helped create every type of house 🏠 and with them, worlds of imagination! Discover how the System in Play has inspired builders of all generations → https://loom.ly/VvfSnF0. #JustImagine #BehindTheBricks

💭 Ever started something for one reason and stayed for another? Numbers have always felt like second nature to me. But at the LEGO Group, data goes beyond spreadsheets and forecasts — it’s about crafting seamless consumer experiences and ensuring our Customer Service Advisors are equipped to meet the needs of LEGO® fans around the world. 🌍 It’s also about anticipating the unexpected and preparing our consumer engagement teams to tackle any challenges that arise. 📊 I came for the numbers and stayed for the culture. Here’s what that really means — check out my new blog article: https://lnkd.in/e6fimndU #JustImagine #BehindTheBricks #OneLEGOTeam

Our sustainable materials journey began over a decade ago - and in 2018, we reached our first major milestone with the introduction of a new material for our soft and bendy LEGO® elements. ✨ Made with 89% renewable content from Brazilian sugarcane, we now have over 200 of these elements, found in around half of our sets. Fast forward to 2025 🚀, and 60% of the materials we purchase to make LEGO products will be produced from sustainable sources - such as plant oils🌱 - by the end of the year. This is all part of the LEGO Group’s ambition to use more renewable and recycled materials in our products by 2032. So far, we’ve tested over 600 different materials in our quest to find more sustainable alternatives for our durable, high-quality pieces. 🔎 And we’re not stopping here. From artificial marble worktops to recycled fishing nets and engine oil, we’re continually expanding the sustainable sources we use to make our bricks and elements. 📈 Find out more → https://loom.ly/-Nyb4A4 #LEGOBricks #JustImagine #BehindTheBricks

At the LEGO Group, we want to help build a sustainable future for children. 🌍 As part of our commitment, we're taking steps to reduce our carbon emissions, by developing tailored solutions to make our production sites more efficient and increasing the use of renewable energy. One important step is phasing out our use of natural gas, which historically we have used to heat our factories. Over the past three years, we've identified several alternative sources of heat, which will be a key step towards solving our emissions reduction challenge. 🚧 Drilled more than 2000 meters below the surface to unlock geothermal energy in Hungary 🏭 Transitioned to district heating in Denmark ❄️ Re-used heat generated by a chiller system in China Discover more → https://loom.ly/sb1i-sc #BehindTheBricks #Sustainability
