Kekst CNC is pleased to have advised OQ Base Industries (OQBI) on its $488 million IPO on the Muscat Stock Exchange S.A.O.C. This marks the third OQ Group IPO in just over a year. It follows the largest and second-largest IPOs in the Sultanate, the $2 billion OQEP IPO and OQGN's $749 million IPO, both of which Kekst CNC proudly advised on. The global team, including Kevin Soady, Gregor Riemann, Christopher Deifuß, Marie Peguilhan, and Joao (Joe) Sigolo, provided on-the-ground support in Muscat, along with advisory services from Dubai and London. This approach combined regional best practices with global expertise for OQ and OQBI.

Navigating the Future of UK Restructuring: Kekst CNC’s Richard R. and Monique Kilpatrick (née Perks) attended this week’s Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA)'s annual London roadshow, where they gained valuable insights into the dynamic UK restructuring landscape. Key takeaways include: • Sector-Specific Challenges: The roadshow spotlighted critical developments in distressed sectors like construction and hospitality. Understanding the unique challenges these industries face is crucial for crafting effective communication strategies. • Regulatory Insights: Senior leaders from the Insolvency Service and HMRC shared important updates on regulatory priorities, emphasizing the scrutiny on contrived insolvencies and "phoenixism." Staying informed about these priorities is essential for anticipating regulatory impacts on clients and stakeholders. • Legal Precedents: Leading King's Counsel analyzed recent landmark cases such as BHS and Eversholt Rail, providing valuable legal context that can inform strategic communications and risk management. • Economic Pressures: With ongoing economic pressures highlighted in forecasts, it’s imperative for professionals to adapt communication approaches to support businesses navigating financial difficulties. Thank you to the IPA for this informative event, which reinforced the importance of sophisticated stakeholder engagement during periods of corporate change.
