Collaboration and New Initiatives at the Kalmar Move2Green Roadshow 🤝 On Monday, Kalmar’s Move2Green Veturi programme roadshow brought together companies, research organisations and experts to discuss the green transition and the future of logistics at Sokos Hotel Royal in Vaasa. During the event, Kalmar presented the programme’s objectives and future collaboration needs, particularly related to utilising data and artificial intelligence to advance sustainable logistics. Ulf-Erik Widd from Business Finland provided an overview of the Veturi and Co-Innovation funding instruments, which support joint development projects between companies and research groups as well as ecosystem development. During the afternoon, we heard six pitches tailored to Kalmar’s needs, presented by companies and research groups: Johnny Lindqvist from TK Engineering Oy, Roy Nyberg from Sensord, Maciej Mikulski and Tuomas Huikkola from the University of Vaasa, Joni Kontturi from Wapice Ltd, and Leif-Johan Setälä from Trineria Oy. Thank you to all participants for an inspiring afternoon. Together, we are contributing to smarter and more sustainable logistics. The event was powered by the Innovation Boost – Vaasan seutu project together with Merinova and Vaasa Region Development Company VASEK. Celebrating the future of maritime logistics! 🎓🚢 Earlier this month, we had the honour of joining the World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmö to celebrate the Class of 2025. For over a decade, we’ve been proud to partner with WMU, helping to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industry application. From hosting field studies in Sweden and Poland to recognising excellence through the Kalmar Prizes, we believe in empowering the next generation of leaders. A huge congratulations to the 10 students awarded a Kalmar Prize this year for their leadership and community spirit. As our Global Technical Trainer, Conny Eliasson, noted, seeing the energy and dedication of these graduates is truly inspiring for the future of our business. To the Class of 2025: We can’t wait to see how you’ll shape the industry. #Kalmar #WMU #MaritimeLogistics #FutureLeaders #MakingEveryMoveCount #PartnerForExcellence

“I joined Kalmar almost 26 years ago - and it still feels like yesterday.” That’s how Didier Damoiseaux, one of our long-serving technicians, sums up his journey with Kalmar Belgium. While there certainly are tasks that have become more than familiar and are part of the routine, Didier still thinks that every day still brings something new: a challenge, a laugh, or a chance to move things forward together. 💪 “What has always motivated me - and still does - is my family. They’re proud to say: my husband, dad, or grandpa works on big machines at the port. And yes, after all these years, I still enjoy getting my hands dirty”, Didier says. #WeAreKalmar
