Our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Protection team recently fielded the Large-Scale Applicator-Tactical (LSA-T) subsystem for the Contamination Indicator Decontamination Assurance System (CIDAS) to the US Army. The CIDAS indicates the location of chemical agents on equipment before and after decontamination, enabling the warfighter to effectively return to the mission. Our Joint Enterprise Technology Tool (JETT) team supported industry participation at U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC)'s recent Technology Experimentation & Characterization Field Trials (TECFT). In August, our JPEO-CBRND Chief of Operations Safety and Security team hosted our third annual Safety Day for the U.S. Army Garrison - Aberdeen Proving Ground community. Through live demonstrations, hands-on activities, equipment displays, and expert tips, attendees learned about safety and security in the workplace and at home. Events like this help us support our workforce's safety and wellbeing as we live out our "People First" philosophy. Meet Far Forward Biological Sequencing (FFBS)! 👋 This system combines sample preparation, sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis with an intuitive user interface to quickly identify biological threats. Our Joint Project Manager for CBRN Special Operations Forces team is developing and incrementally fielding the FFBS to USSOCOM forces to enable warfighters who aren’t lab-trained to increase their situational awareness of harmful biological threats on the battlefield.
