Excessive Heat Warning & Air Quality Alerts are forcing us to CANCEL Sowing Seeds Growing Futures Farmers Market this Tuesday, 6/18. The severe heat is worsening the air quality & in combination with the humidity - nothing to mess around with! Be safe, we will see you next week with great vendors, live music & free produce boxes.

Starting this Tuesday at SSGF Market, we will have biweekly free produce boxes! We will have 50, first come first serve 🌱 We have some amazing vendors this season and Detroit's Own Soul Purpose band playing every week. Fresh Prescription sessions will be starting in July. It's a great way to learn more about nutrition & your health & get free tokens to spend on fresh produce at the market. We are very fortunate to have Chef Crystal and Sabrina join our team this season. Chef Crystal will make sure there are delicious food & samples at the market & help us be sustainable by composting. Sabrina will be educating individuals about health & nutrition and help facilitate the Fresh Prescription program. Come say hi to them! More information on our Instagram. We hope to see you Tuesdays 4-7PM, Corner of Joy & Artesian ❤️ If you have any questions, email marco@joysouthfield.org

A big thank you to all the folks who gave a helping hand this last Saturday! Our Annual Farmers Market Lot Clean Up was a huge success! We picked up trash, did bioswale maintenance, tore down old garden beds & built new ones, & even planted some strawberries! We finished w/ some pizza & refreshments. It was a great time. Shout out to Keep Growing Detroit for the garden support. It will be an exciting season! We hope to see you come by!
