I had the chance to present my poster at our MPH Applied Practice Session this morning about my exciting work at JCPH. I'm so grateful for the opportunity that Johnson County Public Health allowed me to complete, one step closer to graduation!
Our HealthyJoCo team is looking for community members to serve on each of the Community Health Priority Committees. 1. Healthcare Access, Quality, and Affordability 2. Mental Health 3. Housing 4. Food Security All participants must be 18 or older and live in Johnson County, Iowa and have a vested interest in or lived experience with the health priority area of interest. Community members looking to get involved can expect at least one meeting per month to start, with ongoing meetings every other month. These committees will establish strategic goals and objectives for community health improvement initiatives over the next 3-5 years. This is a voluntary role. Applications close mid-May.
