This past Saturday, our ICHS Foundation Board of Directors gathered for its annual Fall Board Retreat. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to strategize and map out our efforts for 2026 and the years ahead. The Advocacy Center of Excellent (ACE) Program recognizes health centers across the country that demonstrate consistent engagement and ongoing commitment to making advocacy an organizational priority. Gold is the top status a health center can be awarded, solidifying ICHS’ position as a national leader in health center advocacy. ICHS has been awarded the Gold 2025 Immunize Washington Award for our efforts in reducing the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases and keeping our communities safe. Our Bellevue, Shoreline, Holly Park, and International District clinics have all been recognized with awards by Washington State Department of Health in this year's program. We are officially open! On Wednesday we held our official ribbon cutting ceremony of ICHS at SOUND Auburn! We are now on-site, partnering with @SOUND Behavioral Health, a non-profit provider of comprehensive #BehavioralHealth services for King County, at our newest clinic location ICHS at SOUND Auburn. Our partnership now gives patients one central location for comprehensive, culturally and linguistically aligned health care – our patients can have multiple appointments in one location - primary care, behavioral health, dental services are all right here, for all ages, and for all members of the family. ICHS and SOUND are at the forefront of delivering comprehensive, culturally and linguistically aligned health care at this clinic. Today, partnerships like ours are unique. Last month, ICHS was thrilled to receive a Community Engagement grant award totaling $225,000 from the Gates Foundation. Gates Foundation provides community-driven grants to local organizations in and around Seattle who are closest to the needs of their neighbors and neighborhoods. Please join us in welcoming our new ICHS clinic board director, Mike! Michael Han is currently the Enterprise Chief Medical Information Officer at MultiCare Health System. He leads the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the electronic health record and all clinician facing applications. Prior to joining MultiCare, he was a System Provider Informatacist at Providence, as well as the Chief Medical Information Officer and Chief of Surgery at Pacific Medical Centers. He earned an A.B. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Brown University. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan and completed his residency in urology at The George Washington University School of Medicine. He is board certified in both urology and clinical informatics.
