💡Key insights from Building Bridges! 💡 Building Bridges aims to unlock private capital and channel it toward the most pressing global challenges, aligning financial flows with the needs of both the planet and its people. Since COP15 in Montreal, the recognition of investment in nature-finance has expanded across all sectors. However, achieving inclusive nature financing demands adopting holistic financial strategies, fostering systemic mindsets, and establishing more meaningful and measurable KPIs. 1️⃣ Accounting for impact: Impact awareness is growing. It seems more widely understood that all business investment strategies have interconnected consequences on nature, human and social capital. Now let’s account for it and put these consequences on the balance sheet. 2️⃣ Recognizing nature’s true value: Nature underpins the global economy, yet its value is greatly underestimated in financial systems. Reflecting it properly is critical to regenerate, conserve and sustainably manage the ecosystems on which all businesses depend. 3️⃣ Holding our leadership accountable: at the current rate of nature loss, climate catastrophe and social injustice, we simply cannot afford to wait for the better regulation or our neighbors decision. Every institution, government, business, and individual can make no-regret purpose-driven decisions that prioritize both planet and people—with humility, courage, and a focus on tangible impact. InTent attended Building Bridges to advocate for systemic change, promoting the integration of nature, people and purpose into the core of business strategies.
