We’ve been quiet because we’ve been busy.   We've been busy because there is a lot of momentum across the industry to continue to evolve towards a sustainable model for industrialized construction!  As we move into the second half of 2025, we’re excited to share some updates from the Industrialized Construction Maturity Assessment (ICMA)® Medallion system: 📌 ** Reminder - What is the ICMA Medallion System? ** The ICMA provides a system, process, and capabilities view of Industrialized Construction – the missing link in helping productizing owners and suppliers to finally answer “what good looks like” so prefab can truly be a win-win. The Medallion System aims to recognize Owners and Fabricators who demonstrate dedication to operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement in industrialized construction. In 2024, ICG proudly awarded medallions to the following leading companies: DIRTT (Platinum) Volumetric Building Companies (Gold & Silver) SurePods™ (Silver) KHS&S (Silver). 🏅 ** First 2025 Medallion Winner Announcement Coming Soon **  We’ll be announcing our first ICMA Medallion recipient of 2025 in July —with more to follow throughout the summer and fall.   Industrialized Construction Group is proud to collaborate with the California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) team and  FullStack Modular on a visionary program that’s reshaping the future of student housing and construction.    Why it matters:  The California State University (CSU) system is the largest in the U.S., serving over 480,000 students across 23 campuses. The need for affordable, scalable housing is urgent—and modular and componentized construction offers a powerful solution.  As Mike Mccormick notes, “It doesn’t make sense to build this much housing and not take advantage of the repeatability.” This program aims to create a transportable model that can be replicated across universities nationwide.    The article focuses a lot on the benefits of repeatable design (yes!). But that is just the beginning.   Standardized repeatable delivery process – from the factory to the final set will be critical as this program progresses.  At ICG, we focus a lot on helping to standardize production process, but the logistics, the field set; the program management, procurement – all need to be part of the optimization equation.      This part often doesn’t get the news coverage it deserves.   We get it.   It’s not sexy, but it is foundational.  It’s makes it so much easier to see what needs to be improved – whether through materials innovation or application of technology.   We are proud of the work Stephen Hayes is doing!   🔗 Read more in Fast Company - https://lnkd.in/eKJKpnGx
