🌟 A Heartfelt Honor at the Harvest of Hope Event! 🌟 This past week, Health Net was honored to receive the CalAIM Community Champion Award from ModifyHealth and MISI Programs at the Harvest of Hope Turkey Giveaway in Sacramento.🏆 We were proud to be recognized with the Matrushka Award for our commitment to the Slavic community, alongside our incredible partners. This special recognition highlights our ongoing support for families through CalAIM Community Supports (CS) and Enhanced Care Management (ECM). For many of the families we serve, this Thanksgiving will be their first in America, and we are grateful to be part of the celebration. The event was filled with Slavic music, children’s activities, food, and much more as the community came together to honor its culture and achievements. 🦃💙 Thank you to the organizers and all who made this event so special. We look forward to continuing our work together to support and uplift our community. #HealthNet #CalAIM #CommunityChampion #HarvestOfHope #SlavicCommunity #GivingBack #TogetherWeRise #Thanksgiving2024

Today, we recognize the resilience, innovation, and dedication of rural communities and healthcare providers working to improve access to care and health equity across the nation. At Health Net, we’re proud of the work Centene Corporation and its health plans are doing to support initiatives that uplift rural communities, ensuring better health outcomes for all. To learn more about what Health Net has done, please read below #NationalRuralHealthDay #PowerOfRural Pooja Mittal
This year’s Rural Health Day theme is “Advancing Maternal Health in Rural Communities,” an opportunity to celebrate initiatives that improve health outcomes for some of our most vulnerable members. In rural Fresno County, CA, Health Net, a Centene company, engaged a community advisory workgroup to better understand Salvadorian cultural practices around postpartum care. Through education and tailored communication strategies, Health Net worked with providers to create culturally sensitive approaches to care. As a result, postpartum visits increased from 50% to 82% over a two year period. #RuralHealthDay #RuralHealth #PowerofRural

Doug Smith’s insightful article in the LA Times highlights the remarkable achievement of Redondo Beach in reducing its homeless population to 'functionally zero.' This rare designation indicates that the city’s services are effectively aligned with its homelessness needs. The City of Redondo Beach is now taking further steps by launching a pilot mental health response program, funded by a $570,000 grant from Health Net, contributing to a total of $1.3 million in support. The additional funds are being used to develop 25 pallet homes, each equipped with heating, air conditioning and electricity.
