Pansy Ho, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF), was recently invited to attend the 26th session of the UN Tourism General Assembly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in her capacity as a UNWTO Tourism Ambassador. For the past five decades, UNWTO has been dedicated to promoting economic development, cultural exchange, and peace through tourism. Under the theme “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation in Shaping Global Tourism,” this session focused on how artificial intelligence and digital transformation are revolutionizing travel and driving sustainable development. The assembly also officially confirmed Ms. Shaikha Al Nowais as the next Secretary-General of UNWTO, effective 2026. As a partner of UNWTO, GTEF has been committed since its inception to building bridges between China’s tourism market and the world. Looking ahead, GTEF will continue to collaborate with UNWTO and global partners, embracing innovation and expanding beyond Macao. Leveraging its established international platform and extensive network across tourism, culture, and business, GTEF will support Chinese provinces and cities in deeply integrating into the global cultural tourism value chain and sharing development opportunities. #UNWTO #UNTourism #GTEF #GTEF2025 #Travel #Tourism #Forum
