In November, IQT partnered with Georgetown University’s Center for Security and Emerging Technology (CSET) to host a conversation on the role #microelectronics play in today’s complex threat landscape and how driving #innovation in this key area will be essential to national security and global stability in the future. The event, “Tiny Tech, Big Impact: Advanced Microelectronics in National Security,” featured opening remarks from Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) and keynote speaker Chris Miller, author of New York Times bestseller “Chip War: The Fight for the World’s Most Critical Technology.” These remarks were followed by a robust panel discussion moderated by IQT’s own Yan Zheng and featuring White House Coordinator for CHIPS Implementation Ryan Harper, CHIPS Office Chief Economist Dan Kim, Finwave CEO Pierre-Yves Lesaicherre, and CSET Research Analyst Hanna Dohmen. As the geopolitical landscape continues to rapidly change, it is important to consider the need for strategic investments in microelectronic technologies to ensure the U.S. remains a world leader. This event highlighted the critical role microelectronics play in national security, and the importance of collaboration between government, academia, and industry to drive innovation and continue to address tomorrow’s challenges, today.
