Together we can move America forward.

About us

FWD.us is a bipartisan political organization that believes America’s families, communities, and economy thrive when everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. For too long, our broken immigration and criminal justice systems have locked too many people out from the American dream. Founded by leaders in the technology and business communities, we seek to grow and galvanize political support to break through partisan gridlock and achieve meaningful reforms. Together, we can move America forward.

Today, our CEO Santiago Marquez stood with FWD.us to advocate for #DACA and the Keeping Families Together program. He reminded us that ‘DACA has been nothing short of life-changing’ and that when we allow immigrants to contribute, ‘our workforce and economy become stronger.’ Let's continue to push for commonsense immigration reform that keeps families together and ensures stability for all. ‘Immigrants need us, and we need them.’ #LatinAmericanAssociation #TheLAA #DACA #Latino #Nonprofit #Atlanta #Georgia

The Home Is Here Education Table invites stakeholders in the K-12 ecosystem (school/system leaders, educators, etc.) to tune into DACA in Danger: How an End to DACA Would Impact the K-12 Ecosystem on October 17 at 4pm PT / 7pm ET. Please share this information with your networks! As you know, DACA continues to be under threat due to ongoing litigation in federal court. On October 10, 2024, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit heard oral arguments on the case challenging the legality of DACA, Texas v. United States. Join us for a recap of the hearing and to learn about: 1.     Potential next steps from the Court following oral arguments. 2.     Who the DACA recipients in the K-12 ecosystem are who would be directly impacted by the outcome of the DACA litigation. 3.     Ways that schools and districts can support DACA recipients in their communities.Don't forget to REGISTER HERE: https://lnkd.in/gAdKPip7

My colleagues and I at FWD.us found that new, advanced international STEM students in the U.S. would like to have shorter-term work stays in the U.S. after graduation. Fortunately, the U.S. has tools that employers and policy makers can use to maximize this shift.

I had the opportunity to contribute to Vera’s excellent podcast series “The 30 Year Project.” I joined a number of criminal justice reform leaders I admire to discuss legislation's impact and the fight against mass incarceration today. Check out all four episodes in the series here: https://lnkd.in/eH5DUyG5 We discussed the impact of incarceration on American families - from Episode 2: “One in two Americans have experienced incarceration in their direct families. That rate is the same for families that identify as Republican or Democratic voters. Exposure rate does increase from there for families who are living in poverty, for families that are living in the south. The rate is two in three for Black families… The people who are affected by mass incarceration are not necessarily other people so much as they are our people. And, for many, many Americans, that means we're talking about brothers and grandparents and children and aunts.” Read more about the impact of mass incarceration in our Every Second Report: https://lnkd.in/ejPqnjwg
