Run proactive physical operations, not firefighting

About us

Our agent sees across your people, machines, and enterprise systems—safely takes action when it should, escalates when it must so you can run proactive physical operations, not firefighting To develop a very practical sense for what this looks like read our blog post: How Our AI Agents Are Becoming the Ultimate Field Technician's Assistant https://formant.ai/blog/physical-ai-is-here-how-our-ai-agents-are-becoming-the-ultimate-field-technician-s-assistant

  • Have you seen Formant new podcast? In our first episode Henrik Bennetsen and Richard Anaya discuss many topics - one in this clip below is a discussion focusing on: Dashboards to AI Agents: The Shift in Physical Operations 🤖🌍 The conversation around robotics data is evolving. It’s no longer just about staring at dashboards and waiting for rigid alerts—it’s about AI agents acting in the physical world. The Key Shift: Old Way: Constant human monitoring and simple "if/then" triggers. 📊 New Way: #AIagents that understand context and solve "fuzzy," ambiguous problems. 🧠 #PhysicalAI For the full episode: https://lnkd.in/gY3NwpWz

  • 🤖 🎧 🤖 🎧 🤖 🎧 Formant has a new #Podcast and today we are dropping our first episode: Listen on SPOTIFY - https://lnkd.in/g6XRuc7w Here is a snippet of the conversation between Henrik Bennetsen and Richard Anaya where they discuss Richard's last article: "Physical AI: From Rules to Principles." They explore topics such as why traditional robots often get stuck in a loop with their rigid rules and how we can transform them by using principles rather than just a series of if–then statements. This shift might just be the key to helping machines thrive in the real world! If you're curious about Physical AI—what it means, why it matters, and where things are headed—this episode is a must-listen! Link to the article: https://lnkd.in/gTz3r-Vs

There’s huge excitement about #PhysicalAI right now, but it seems to mean everything and nothing. For us it comes down to this: #Robotics used to be about hard-coded rules. With modern AI, we can instead give systems principles and, once we teach the #AI about your context, let it reason about what to do in situations you never explicitly programmed. Same #robots better brain. That’s why we think we’re finally on the verge of an explosion in what we get done with machines. Richard breaks down this shift from rules to principles here: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gTz3r-Vs

We are thrilled to announce that Hullbot has closed an AUD $16 million Series A round. This funding is a massive vote of confidence in our mission to make shipping greener and more efficient through autonomous underwater robots that proactively clean and inspect ship hulls. The series was led by Regeneration.VC, with participation from Katapult Ocean, Climate Tech Partners, Folklore Ventures, Trinity Ventures Australia, Rypples, Bandera Capital and more! Why This Matters: ● Fuel Savings: Our technology delivers proven average fuel savings of 15% and up to 26% by preventing biofouling. Even a thin layer of marine organisms can drive up fuel consumption significantly. ● Decarbonization: We have already prevented millions of kgs of CO2 emissions across 1100+ cleans globally. The funding will exponentially increase our efforts. This new capital will accelerate our growth by scaling manufacturing, establishing more international service hubs, and evolving our next-generation robotic systems to accommodate larger shipping vessel classes. A huge thank you to our investors and partners. To our incredible team, both those who are here today and those who have moved on to pursue other interests: thank you. Your skills, late nights, and commitment built the foundation of this success. We're ready to take our impact to the next level! And finally a huge thank you to our cofounders Karl W. and Tom Loefler, this would not have been possible without their determination and vision. #OceanRobotics #ClimateTech #Decarbonization #Shipping #SeriesA #Innovation #Sustainability #Hullbot #Ferries

From “incidents” to signals — we're building a new, more proactive way to run physical operations. Our Agent doesn’t wait for downtime. It watches for early patterns that precede incidents and kicks off a generative investigation tailored to the situation. Think: analyze logs → check sensor drift → validate against history → propose a fix; or jump straight to a targeted diagnostic when that’s all that’s needed. When the agent needs help or crosses its autonomy guardrails, it escalates with context - what it found, what it did, what’s uncertain, and exactly what it needs from an operator. We call this collaborative intelligence and it’s how trust (and safe autonomy) grows over time. Outcomes: fewer incidents, faster resolution, expertise that compounds across your fleet, and more issues resolved safely without a 2 a.m. fire drill. If you’re curious how proactive ops actually works in practice, Fin Elliott breaks it down beautifully here: https://lnkd.in/gnMAJ4Dq
