Our team was honored to welcome Federal Aviation Administration Administrator Bryan Bedford to our global HQ in Seattle, where we had an opportunity to hear his priorities and talk with him about Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air and the great work our teams are doing around the world. Captain Bret Peyton led a tour of Network Operations Control, where we showed some of the advanced tools our teams are using to maintain safety, optimize flight routes and improve operational efficiency. As an engineer, I know investing in the right systems and technology can transform the efficiency of our industry, which directly translates to a better travel experience for the millions of people flying in the U.S. every day. We look forward to working with Administrator Bedford to advance these investments and usher in the safest and most efficient age of air travel. "We showed the Administrator the entire suite of in-house and off-the-shelf tools our cross-divisional NOC team uses to move our airline network every day," Peyton said. "We discussed pilot and flight attendant crew scheduling, weight and balance delivery, maintenance control, business continuity, airline movement control, and dispatch flight planning, flight following and route optimization, and all other functions of the NOC. We highlighted our stance as a technology leader and spoke more specifically about RNP satellite navigation and also how AI is helping the airline through IT platforms like Flyways, a route optimization system that Dispatchers use for optimal flight routes." Thank you for visiting and thank you for the smart questions about how our people make it all happen every day.
