Sustainability Communication Leader Baltics at IKEA

🚀Innovation news! 🦾🌟 In a unique step towards improving workplace ergonomics, IKEA has, for the first time in the Baltics, deployed next-generation technology – exoskeletons – in Latvia.   Globally, IKEA has deployed more than 600 exoskeletons across 22 countries, and we are delighted to launch them in the Baltics – a meaningful step that we see as the beginning of further development in the Baltics. Following a six-month pilot test, the technology has now been integrated into daily operations, becoming an essential part of our fulfilment processes in both Rīga’s and Liepāja’s selling points.   By integrating this cutting-edge technology into operations, we are not only addressing today’s needs but also setting a higher standard for a healthier, more ergonomic future in the workplace.

  • A major milestone for workplace ergonomics in the Baltics! 🇱🇻✨ IKEA Latvia has officially integrated SUITX exoskeletons into daily operations, marking the region’s first large-scale deployment of next-gen ergonomic technology. More than 600 exoskeletons are already in use across 22 IKEA countries, and we’re proud to see Latvia join this movement toward safer, healthier workplaces. A huge shoutout to the people who made this possible: Nicola von Tippelskirch and Laurenz Ludwig from SUITX Mindaugas Cernius, Mafalda Godinho and Mattias Bendt from IKEA . Your collaboration and commitment were key to bringing this project to life. 👏 For us at SUITX, this milestone is more than an implementation: it’s momentum. It’s proof that forward-thinking companies are reimagining how teams move, lift, and work safely every day. Who’s next?

  • SUITX was proud to join the 26th Ground Handling International Annual Conference , where innovation meets real-world performance. We had the pleasure of meeting with Max Gosney and George Lydon as well as numerous Ground Handling and Aviation Companies and discussed how exoskeletons technology can transform the way ground handling professionals work. Reducing strain, boosting efficiency, and supporting a safer, more sustainable future on the ramp. A big thank you to the GHI team for an inspiring event and the great conversations ahead. 💪   #FuturingHumanPerformance

  • At SUITX, every breakthrough begins with a spark, and for John Kuwata, that spark was Iron Man. ⚙️ Fascinated by the idea of creating real-life exoskeletons, John pursued bioengineering at UC Berkeley with a focus on mechanical engineering, determined to turn science fiction into functional technology.   Today, as an Operations Engineer at SUITX, he brings that vision to life.  From refining production processes to ensuring every suit meets the highest standards of precision and performance, John’s work bridges imagination and impact. For him, SUITX isn’t just a workplace: it’s the realization of a dream that started in a movie theater and evolved into technology that supports real people, every day.   #FuturingHumanPerformance

  • What a week in Düsseldorf! The A+A (AplusA) – International Trade Fair and Congress 2025 has officially wrapped, and what an incredible few days it’s been for SUITX. Our team on-site did an amazing job showcasing the future of work with the #IXBACKVOLTON, and the response? Absolutely electric. ⚡️ From inspiring conversations to curious minds trying exoskeletons for the first time, one thing is clear: the market is ready and the shift toward smarter, safer, and more human-centered workplaces has already begun. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, tested our tech, and shared their thoughts. This is just the beginning. 💪 #FuturingHumanPerformance
