Our partner BENTELER Mobility signed a MoU with Integrated Transport Centre Abu Dhabi, the legislative and regulatory authority for autonomous mobility in the Emirate. This collaboration sets the stage for future deployment of the HOLON urban across Abu Dhabi — aligned with the Emirate’s goal to make 25% of all trips autonomous by 2040 and its broader Net Zero 2050 strategy. We’re proud to share a major step forward in the journey toward autonomous mobility: HOLON has received nationwide approval from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) under §16 AFGBV to test our autonomous shuttle, the HOLON urban, on public roads across Germany – with a safety driver on board. The first test drives will begin in Hamburg as part of the ALIKE project, in collaboration with Hamburger Hochbahn AG. This marks a significant milestone on our path to series production and supports the transformation of public transport into a more sustainable, inclusive, and efficient system. At the same time, we’re accelerating preparations for production in Jacksonville, Florida, and advancing pilot projects in the U.S. and the Gulf region. “This approval is a game-changer for autonomous mobility in public transport – and a strong vote of confidence in the technological maturity of our vehicle,” says Dr. Flavio Friesen, VP Engineering at HOLON. Our collaboration with Emirates Global Motor Electric, a subsidiary of the ALFAHIM Group, shall jointly introduce and operate autonomous shuttle solutions in the UAE. HOLON is now conducting selected release tests for its autonomous shuttle HOLON urban on a newly leased site in Paderborn. The city supports the initiative, strengthening its role as a hub for mobility innovation.
