We were one of the mobile tours as part of the PLACES Conference and with this opportunity, our Executive Director, Jessica Combs, and Board Member, Katie Pratt, introduced a group of fellow Washington community builders in their downtowns and cities to Bremerton’s naval history and downtown revitalization efforts. This wonderfully detailed addition sits atop a storytelling pedestal that shows Quincy's life through images. Big News for Downtown Bremerton The City of Bremerton has officially approved pop-up shops downtown during the FIFA World Cup 2026. This is a major opportunity for local businesses, makers, and entrepreneurs to showcase their work as visitors from around the world come through Puget Sound. With Bremerton named one of only nine official Fan Zones in Washington State, our city is stepping onto the global stage. As Jessica Combs shared with the Kitsap Sun: “I want Bremerton to be a destination that people want to come and visit. And I want them to be able to take something home with them from Bremerton—something made by a local maker.” The World Cup is about more than soccer—it’s about creating pride, opportunity, and momentum for our community.
