Since 1971, we have trained more than 53,000 students, a milestone achievement made possible by the countless Military and Federal Civilian employees who helped make this Institute what it is today. Somehow “Thank You” just doesn’t feel like enough. That is why we would like to showcase you, our former Faculty Members & Alumni! We want to tell your story and how DEOMI impacted you, your career, and your life. Col. Michelle Nash, commandant of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), presented Dr. Michael Birchell with a certificate of appreciation on May 20, 2025, at Patrick Space Force Base. Dr. Birchell's leadership in the "Navigating Change – Resiliency and Durability in Uncertain Times" training has been instrumental in equipping us with skills to help us further unite in support of the warfighter. This training empowers DEOMI staff to better assist service members in maintaining mission readiness, fostering a stronger and more resilient military community.

DEOMI continues to conduct routine operations while ensuring compliance with the law and executive orders.
