Way to go, Karen Castaño, on our Exertis Almo team! This past week, Karen was on-site in Atlanta for NSCA's Excellence in Business Operations (XBO) Experience event, where she helped to co-host a breakout session on the topic of building trust through leadership within the workplace. We're incredibly lucky to have so many caring leaders like Karen as part of #DCCTechnology who make space for engaging and important conversations like this that help make our industry a better place to work and grow! 💻

I had an incredible experience presenting at the NSCA XBO event this week! It was inspiring to connect with so many industry leaders and engage in important conversations about building trust and fostering growth in the workplace. Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to the discussion. Looking forward to seeing how these insights take shape in our industry! 🌟 #NSCAXBO #Leadership #WorkplaceCulture

  • Allyship within the workplace is such an important topic, and it's amazing that our very own Manpreet Kaur Bath had the opportunity to explore it further with our partner Kinly and their incredible team led by Katy Thorpe! Being vulnerable and recognizing the unique paths on our individual journeys that we are on is always a great starting point, and we can't wait to continue learning and unlearning together across our ongoing DEI efforts. 🧠

💥 Yesterday, I had the opportunity to deliver our Allyship Workshop to our partner, Kinly! We explored activating allyship, looked closely at the vulnerabilities we sometimes encounter, and acknowledged that we’re all at unique points on this journey—and that’s absolutely okay! The important part? Keep moving forward and continue to learn.📚🌍 There's so much content out there we can immerse ourselves in, but the impact of sharing of personal stories drives this to a whole new level. 🎤❤️ Huge thanks to Katy Thorpe and the incredible Kinly team for their openness and engagement. Excited to continue our DEI journeys together! ✨ 🙌🏼 #Allyship #DEI #TogetherWeGrow #KeepLearning DCC Technology Exertis UK Kinly

I cannot put into words how proud I am of our team last night collecting the DE&I initiative of the year and AV Distributor of the year at the incredible AV Awards. This is testament to the teams belief, resilience and hardwork over the past 3 years. I want to say a huge thank you to all our people, our customers and our vendor partners for all your support. On a personal note I can honestly say it was one of the crowning achievements of my career, I walked back into the AV awards 4 years ago at the start of this journey a lone figure and today we have an incredible team of passionate change makers and to be acknowledged for our part in shaping a greater tomorrow in the industry through DE&I initiatives and to win 'The Big One' in Distributor of the year is a credit to our team. Well done Team Exertis. #avawards #winners #team #exertis

  • A big thank you to Doug Woodburn at IT Channel Oxygen for sitting down with Jamie Brothwell, Managing Director at Exertis UK to discuss some of the recent changes happening across the organization. At #DCCTechnology, we're paving a future path forward that optimizes our operations and offerings as a B2B specialist distributor across areas, including AV, print, mobile and components. Huge story here - Exertis UK is morphing from a broadliner into a specialist with this move, which follows the winding down of its PC contracts with Dell and Lenovo. In other words, it sees itself more as a Midwich than an Ingram, TD Synnex or Westcoast. Exertis isn't exiting PC altogether, but it now wants to be known (in B2B) as a specialist distributor in areas such as AV, print, mobile and components. As Jamie Brothwell tell us, the move does have some parallels. Midwich exited the PC space altogether in 2005, and I think Northamber did something fairly similar last decade. Exertis says it was heading in this direction even before Dell and Lenovo served notice. Big volume PC contracts are known to be 'empty revenue' for distributors. So you can see the logic of what Exertis is doing here. Short term, this will dent revenues. But long term, Brothwell says the move will set Exertis Business up for growth. Read what she had to say below 👇 https://lnkd.in/e5hcsXvK
