At the end of September, I had the pleasure of participating in the IUPA 2025 (International Urban Project Award) Jury Meeting to select this year’s winning projects under the overall topic ENDURANCE. A truly engaging day at Tsinghua University — exchanging thoughts and ideas with old friends and colleagues, debating the meaning of endurance in today’s architectural and urban context. Many of the projects reflected both resilience and adaptability, showing the potential of architecture to shape our shared future in lasting ways. It was great to be part of this year’s IUPA 2025 Jury together with Li Cundong (李存东), Zhang Yue (张悦), Cao Jiaming (曹嘉明), Hu Yue (胡越), Nicola Borgmann and Boris Schade-Bünsow. Thanks to the organizers for bringing together such a thoughtful and diverse group and for creating a platform that connects international perspectives.
