2025 has kept small business owners busier than ever. That means they are showing up and giving more to marketing—investing time, energy, and resources. So why are SMBs feeling less confident in their marketing efforts? Let’s get into it. Our latest Small Business Now report uncovers a challenge: while the effort is undeniable, the confidence isn’t always there. The drive is strong, but clarity on what’s really working hasn’t caught up. It’s not all bad news. The commitment of SMBs to growth is truly inspiring, and the findings from our report show just that: 📈 A significant 37% increased their marketing budgets this year. 📈 They're embracing new technology, with 48% using AI to save time and 78% using video to connect with customers. 📈 Email is still a powerhouse. 44% say it's their most effective channel—a significant jump from 23% last year. Here’s the challenge we mentioned earlier: while many of them are putting in the work, only 18% feel truly "very confident" in their marketing—a dip from 27% last year. The root of the problem? SMBs simply don’t know what's working. Think of all that great effort going into marketing, and SMBs are left wondering if it’s paying off. They deserve to see the results. The good news?
