CIB will present a webinar 'Connecting Citizens' on Wednesday 23 October at 12 noon as part of Public Service Transformation Week. As part of Deaf Awareness Week, CIB staff attended a fun and interactive Irish Sign Language (ISL) basics event. Essential ISL words and phrases were covered in the session, related to daily greetings, social interactions, and food and drink. #ISL #IWDP24 #IWDP #IDSL #ISLAwarenessWeek

CIB’s Public Sector Duty Group welcomed the opportunity to speak to the Office of the Ombudsman Ireland about the importance of Deaf Awareness Week. In an engaging session, Deaf awareness training developed by CIB and the Irish Deaf Society was highlighted. The importance of public sector bodies sharing information online using Irish Sign Language (ISL) videos translated by Deaf interpreters was also discussed. Thanks to the Office of the Ombudsman for hosting this valuable exchange. #ISL #IWDP24 #IWDP #IDSL #ISLAwarenessWeek #DeafPeople
