Exciting changes afoot here at ChadSan! Read Founding Director Matthew Gambold's take on it below
Strange day today. After 14 years of working with Edward Sanford to build ChadSan from two guys beavering away in their respective spare bedrooms either side of London to a team of 35 professionals supporting 100's of entrepreneurial companies and business owners across offices in Guildford, London, Southend and Bristol we are (with effect from tomorrow) stepping down from the day to day running of the business and handing the baton on to a new generation of leaders. With over 21 years of ChadSan experience between them I have absolutely no doubt that David Spencer, Jacquetta Jackson and Sean Hookins ACA have the expertise, determination and passion to drive the company forward in an ever evolving industry. There are way too many people to thank for getting us to this point, from all of our incredible clients to some amazingly supportive suppliers, professional partners and industry peers (you all know who you are). Biggest shout out though goes to the amazing ChadSan team members past and present who every day show an incredible level of passion for supporting the small business community that is the lifeblood of the UK economy. I'm hugely proud of the businesses we have supported but also of the careers that we have nurtured and qualifications at all levels (AAT / ATT / ICAEW / ACCA / Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT)) that we have enabled over the years. I guess the question then is what next? This is certainly not retirement. Those who know me will know that "relaxed" just isn't my personality type and frankly I bloody hate golf (don't have the patience for it). Ed and I will still be supporting the ChadSan team from our non-exec positions on the Board, helping shape strategy and cheering them on every step of the way. I'm also hugely excited to be carving out some extra time to get even more involved in the UK's amazing small business community - finding new ways to help the next generation of business owners and entrepreneurs. Watch this space... p.s. picture is from our Team Day last week when we announced mine and Ed's departure. The team look like they've taken the news well (they're crying on the inside I'm sure!)
