  • This month, in our continued celebration of National Conservation Lands, we're visiting the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area. Centered about 22 miles south of Boise, Idaho, the NCA is home to the greatest concentration of nesting birds of prey in North America. Located away from the nesting areas of the Snake River Canyon, the NCA also hosts the Orchard Combat Training Center, the second largest National Guard training range in the United States. The multi-use of this area is a testament to BLM’s mission - preserving remarkable wildlife habitat, while providing for other compatible uses of the land. 📷 Bob Wick

  • Welcome to Carbella Recreation Site in beautiful Montana! Just north of Yellowstone National Park, this popular spot on the Yellowstone River is your go-to for floating, boating, and fishing adventures. 🛶 Thanks to the Great American Outdoors Act, we’ve upgraded the concrete boat ramp to make river access easier and safer for everyone. As the main launch for whitewater rafting, these improvements mean a better experience for visitors—and less maintenance for the site. We invite you to visit to enjoy these upgrades and the river!

  • Accessible adventures await in Idaho! From volcanic trails to quiet lakeshores, Idaho's public lands offer outdoor experiences for everyone! Whether you're stargazing at Craters of the Moon, casting a line in the Joe T. Fallini Recreation Site, or rolling along an adaptive bike trail near Hailey, these landscapes are for all of us. • Happy National Canoe Day! 🛶 We're celebrating by highlighting Canoemobile, a powerful program that turns big canoes into floating classrooms. 🌊 Canoemobile connects youth to the outdoors through hands-on experiences on rivers and lakes across the country. Students learn about water science, local ecosystems, and public land stewardship, all while paddling together in 10 person canoes! 🛶

  • Thank you to everyone who joined us for National Trails Day! 👏 This year, we hosted 18 events across 11 states, uniting a passionate network of community partners dedicated to preserving and enhancing our trails. Highlights included the Bigfoot Adventure Challenge in Redding, California; Meadowood Mountain Bike Trail Work Day in Lorton, Virginia; Trail exploration at Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas, Nevada; and the Trail to Resilience Veterans Hike in Casper, Wyoming. Together, we're leaving the trails better than we found them. 📸U.S. Forest Service
