This week, we’re celebrating the incredible team behind every donation: our Blood Collection Specialists. From donor centers to mobile drives, they save lives daily with their skill and dedication. We sat down with two of our staff members to learn about their favorite aspects of the job, their journey with Bloodworks, and the hobbies they enjoy outside of work. We shipped 10 units of platelets to support Minnesota hospitals yesterday in the wake of the mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church. We mourn with the people of Minneapolis over this horrific tragedy. As part of the Blood Emergency Readiness Corp (BERC), Bloodworks and other community blood centers are on standby this week to ensure no patient goes without lifesaving blood. We were able to respond immediately because of the many donors who came forward when our local supply fell low this month. Thank you to our generous community of donors for sharing this commitment to maintaining a healthy blood and platelet supply for our local community and beyond. #BloodworksNW #GiveBlood #BloodSupply #Community

Over the past few months, the GIVE BLOOD. RESCUE A HUMAN. campaign has honored the powerful bond between people and their pets, and the lifesaving impact of blood donation. 🐶🐱🩸 We’ve heard inspiring stories, met incredible animals (and their humans), and been reminded that every donation helps someone get more time with the ones they love. Thank you to our amazing partners for helping share this message and highlighting how vital blood donation is in our community. #BloodworksNW #RAH #DonateBlood #Pets
