Pratik supports marketing campaigns as a project manager. For a global survey, he tried two things: digital links and printed QR codes. He was sure digital would win. It didn’t. In some regions, the flyers outperformed ads — and the only reason he caught it was because Bitly’s city-level analytics showed him exactly where people were scanning. That gave him what every marketer wants: proof he could take to leadership and say, “Here’s why we should move budget — and here’s the data to back it up.” Or as Pratik puts it: “As digital strategies have become more sophisticated, I realized that Bitly’s true potential lies in analytics. For me, that’s the most valuable thing.” --- Resources so you can succeed like Pratik: How To Power Your Analytics Dashboards with Insights from Bitly: https://lnkd.in/gzz4FhzT Click Tracking: How It Works, Benefits, and Use Cases: https://lnkd.in/g_5Zzzak

Tomas’s YouTube channel was growing, but he had a frustrating problem: sharing his videos was clunky as hell. Those massive YouTube URLs were impossible to remember, looked unprofessional in social posts, and were a nightmare to mention in conversations or presentations. The worst part? Those ugly URLs made his professional content look anything but professional. Here he was, creating valuable educational videos, but sharing them through links that screamed "amateur hour." Tomas started using Bitly for the obvious reason - clean, shareable links that didn't embarrass him. But then something unexpected happened: the analytics opened his eyes to patterns he never saw coming. "I also love that I can track it all using the built-in analytics. Bitly has been a fantastic tool as I grow my YouTube channel." Suddenly, Tomas wasn't just sharing videos - he was gathering intelligence. Which content performed better when shared on different platforms? What drove the most engagement? The data began to shape not just how he shared, but what he created next. When Tomas drops a bit.ly link, he's not just directing traffic - he's conducting research. He learns which videos are worth promoting and which platforms are worth his time. Instead of just throwing content out there and hoping, Tomas can see what's actually connecting with people. His YouTube growth isn't just about making better videos; it's about finally understanding his audience. --- Here's how to elevate your YouTube just like Tomas ---> https://lnkd.in/gb9rs6_P

Tara isn’t just running a small business — she’s making big moves as an entrepreneur. Recently, she launched her own marketing intelligence agency, while also building a personal brand to promote her book, learning community, and podcast. With so many hats to wear, Tara embodies the spirit of the modern entrepreneur: driven, visionary, and unstoppable. But like every business owner, Tara encountered a challenge. Managing numerous projects required constantly sharing links to forms, products, and landing pages. The problem? Those links were long, messy, and anything but professional. A link to her podcast was a URL spaghetti! Then Tara found Bitly. “When I realized the actual URLs can be very long and messy, I discovered Bitly and quickly learned how fast and efficient link creation can be with them. I barely had any time to fret about this problem, since Bitly solved it so quickly!” With Bitly, Tara gained more than just clean, professional links—she gained confidence. She now creates branded, streamlined links that reflect her professionalism, and she uses QR codes to engage her audience across platforms, from digital spaces to live events. For Tara, Bitly has become a small but powerful ally, helping her present her business with polish and efficiency. Instead of worrying about how her links look, she’s free to focus on what she does best: building, teaching, and inspiring. Her journey is not just about business—it’s about empowerment. Tara is proof that entrepreneurs can wear many hats, grow their influence, and thrive with the right tools at their side. Result: Today, Tara celebrates every milestone with a sense of pride, knowing that Bitly helps her amplify her voice, expand her reach, and share her vision with the world. And since branded links receive 2.3 times more click-throughs than generic bit.ly links, she was seeing greater engagement across her burgeoning business. --- Tara turned messy marketing into masterful strategy with branded links. Gabe is a writer—but he’s also something more. Like many modern authors, Gabe wears two hats: storyteller and businessman. He spends his days creating worlds through words, but he also has to ensure those worlds actually reach readers. And here lies the challenge. Writing the best story in the world means little if no one ever finds it. For Gabe, promoting his books is just as critical as writing them. But managing promotions across social media and countless platforms can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re working without visibility into what’s working—or what’s not. That’s where Bitly comes in. “I love the ability to create cleaner URLs and QR codes for marketing my books, especially since I can customize the backend of the URLs I generate,” Gabe explained. With Bitly, every link isn’t just a pathway—it’s a tool for clarity. Beyond presentation, the real value for Gabe is insight. “The ability to get some tracking data to know where users are coming from also helps me focus on which social media platform to focus my time and energy on.” Instead of spreading himself thin across every possible channel, Bitly gives Gabe the confidence to invest his time where it truly matters. He now knows which platforms actually bring readers to his books—something he could never uncover by linking directly to Amazon or other online retailers. For Gabe, Bitly isn’t just a utility—it’s a partner in transforming the way he balances art and business. Result: Bitly helps Gabe save time, sharpen focus, and amplify reach—so that his stories don’t just exist on the page, but in the hands of the readers who need them most. --- Ready to track your marvelous marketing like Gabe? Six hard-earned lessons from rolling out AI coding tools to our Engineering team. Spoiler: It's not about replacing humans - it's about putting new tools to use to build products for Bitly customers, faster. Words by Michael Richman, VP Engineering - Platform, Infrastructure & Security (from his talk at GopherCon 2025) "I run a few Engineering teams at Bitly, and for the last couple of years I've been asking (tongue-in-cheek) in GopherCon talks if ChatGPT can do my job yet. The answer is still no - but a large shift has happened in the software industry. Our 60+ engineers went from GitHub Copilot autocomplete to full AI-assisted coding in about three months. Attitudes are not always consistent, ranging from curiosity to enthusiasm to skepticism. But here's the reality: This shift is happening whether we like AI or not. I think it behooves us to master AI coding tools now and ramp up with them. I've always believed in putting the best tools in developers' hands, and AI coding tools are just that - tools. Tools that can be used not to replace engineers but to build better products faster." Here are six lessons we’ve learned along the way.

"If these links could talk..." Wait, now they can. Our new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server puts Bitly inside your favorite AI assistants and tools. Have actual conversations with your link and code data. 🤯 Instead of logging into dashboards and clicking through menus, just ask: - "Which links got the most clicks this week?" - "Create 20 branded links for our holiday campaign and tag them Q4-2025." - "Compare our LinkedIn vs email performance and show top referrers." Bitly's new MCP integration brings our link management directly into Claude, Cursor, VS Code, and Windsurf. No tab-switching. No workflow interruption. Just natural conversation with your marketing data. (Fun fact: We ALSO have an integration directly with ChatGPT) The future of work is here, and it speaks your language.
