just launched, the new #GlobethicsRepository (formerly #GlobethicsLibrary), powered by Atmire
Modern web technology offers important opportunities to expose, share and distribute valuable digital content, papers and research results. Atmire uses and develops these technologies to enhance online accessibility for institutions, scientists, authors and artists. Institutional Repositories have revolutionized online availability of digital (research) content for the world's leading institutions. Through their dynamic nature, repositories are a more effective way of managing digital resources than local databases or archives, since they are interoperable and very easy to use. Many institutions adopt Open Access principles, based on the idea that immediate online availibility of research increases its impact. By actively using repositories, today's academics radically reshape the landscape of (scientific) publishing. As a spinoff company from K.U. Leuven, Atmire assists institutions worldwide in implementing and managing innovative repositories. By enhancing these repositories and enabling users to retrieve and process information in ways that were impossible 5 years ago, Atmire ensures that digital content in repositories gains appropriate visibility, valorisation and impact.
