Last week, our Associate Director Sarah Campbell joined Professor John Wedgwood Clarke and Professor Pascale Aebischer from the University of Exeter for a brilliant round table exploring creative and community practice in research as part of the University's Faculty for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (HASS) Research Showcase. We’re so lucky to collaborate regularly with our HASS colleagues, and it was inspiring to see such a wide range of exciting research being shared and celebrated. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part! Photography by Jim Wileman.

Fabulous to see so many turn out at Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 11th October for ‘Wills as Windows onto Past Lives’ to support myself and Dr Laura Sangha - as we shared the alchemy of taking early modern wills and revealing their innermost secrets (Laura’s job) or turning them into songs (mine)… all thanks to the magic of the Transkribus by read-coop sce AI team, and a global support team of 3,000+ volunteers. Huge thanks to both the University of Exeter Futures Festival, Arts and Culture, University of Exeter and Regional Engagement teams for making it all possible. Thanks also to the great team of musicians - (R to L) Roger, Caspar, Tristan, Imogen (get better!), Paul, Matthew & Serena - in helping create a memorable afternoon for all! #futuresfestival #exeterphoenix #exeteruniversity #materialculture #devonfolkmusic #AI #livinghistory #universityofexeter #EarlyModernHistory #exeter #exeterlife #exeterarts #transkribus #regionalengagement
