These robots are being used to build detailed maps of forests, with the aim of improving management and conservation. They have been developed as part of the #DigiForest project, which involves Oxford Robotics Institute and partners across Europe. This past week, we welcomed over 70 customers, partners, and industry leaders to our ANYbotics Industry Forum (AIF) 2025. It was two days of intense, high-quality conversation that crystallized a fundamental shift. Our theme was "Beyond the Robot," reflecting how the conversation has changed from "Can the robot navigate?" to being about data insights, workflow integration, and effective human-robot collaboration. It was inspiring to hear success stories from companies like Equinor, Constellium, Vigier Ciment, and Titan Cement Company SA. In this article, I'm sharing my three main takeaways from these discussions: ▶︎ People, not the technology, will determine who succeeds: We're moving to a human-centric model, and the real challenge is mastering the new workflows and mindset for people and robots to work together effectively. ▶︎ The value is in intelligence, not just data: Many plants are already "drowning in data." The value comes from using mobile platforms to get high-quality, contextual insights that lead to action. ▶︎ The future is a shared ecosystem: The challenges are too big to solve alone, and it was fantastic to see how partners like SAP, GE Vernova, and SLB are integrating to deliver a complete solution. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their insights.
