Rescuing Quality Food to Nourish and Strengthen Our Community

About us

Aloha Harvest is the largest food rescue nonprofit in the state of Hawaiʻi. Seven days a week, free of charge and free of liability, we rescue quality excess food from donors (ex: wholesale distributors, grocery stores, restaurants, hotels) and redistribute it to recipient agencies feeding the hungry (ex: homeless shelters, social services, food pantries). Be a part of the rescue. Visit our website to learn more.

We’re proud to have participated in the 2025 Oʻahu Charity Walk — an inspiring day of community, purpose, and partnership. 💚 A heartfelt thank you to our generous financial donors for joining our team this year, and to our dedicated volunteers whose hard work made the day run seamlessly. We’re especially grateful to Y. Fukunaga Products for hosting us and providing space for our team. We’d also like to thank Pepsi, Hawai'i Candy Factory: NOMS, and D. Otani Produce for their donations - your contributions kept our walkers refreshed and energized throughout the event. We hope everyone had a meaningful and memorable experience — we’re already looking forward to next year! 🚶🏽

Our mission has always been rooted in making fresh, locally grown food more accessible while supporting Hawaiʻi’s farmers and food producers. Since 2020, we’ve been proud to partner with Aloha Harvest to help meet the growing need for nutritious food across Oʻahu. Together, we've rescued and redistributed nearly 30,000 pounds of high-quality local produce — strengthening food security, minimizing waste, and keeping the supply chain local. As Jane Adams, our Sales Director, shares: "Living here in Hawai’i, food insecurity is all around us and impacts all walks of life. At Farm Link Hawai’i, we love working with Aloha Harvest because it helps fulfill our mission of making nutritious, nourishing food accessible to all people in our community, minimizing our environmental impact, and reducing our dependency on imported food. ”

  • Our 2025 Q1 Impact Report is here! We're proud to share the powerful ways we came together in Q1 to reduce food waste and feed communities across O'ahu. Here's a snapshot of what we accomplished: 🚛 Pounds of food distributed: 757,840 🤝 Community partnerships: 302 💚 Volunteer hours: 239 Every pound of food rescued goes toward nourishing a family in need - and none of this would be possible without the generous support of our food donors, recipient agencies, volunteers, and financial donors. Mahalo for being a part of the rescue. Check out the full Q1 Impact Report here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gMnH2_Sn

  • Working together to waste less, feed more. Mahalo to the Institute for Human Services for the work they do in our community! 🚛

When someone experiencing homelessness walks through our doors, a warm meal is often the first connection we make—the beginning of a journey from crisis to stability. Thanks to Aloha Harvest, we're able to transform food that would otherwise go to waste into nearly 1,000 daily warm meals for people experiencing homelessness on O'ahu. It's an honor to be featured in Aloha Harvest's Q1 2025 Impact Report, celebrating our partnership that has delivered over 400,000 pounds of food to us since 2007. Together, we're creating a stronger safety net for O'ahu's most vulnerable residents while reducing food waste. IHS is proud to be part of a community that understands that addressing homelessness requires creative and collaborative solutions. Mahalo to the entire Aloha Harvest team for your continued partnership. You can read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/gMnH2_Sn #EndHomelessness #FoodRescue #Hawaii
