Richest countries pledge US$ 300bn for emerging nations’ climate efforts   At COP29 Azerbaijan in November 2024, the world’s largest economies pledged to raise at least US$ 300 billion annually by 2035 to support developing countries in managing the impact of climate change. 251 million young people remain out of education More than 250 million children and young people are still not in school worldwide, a UNESCO report has revealed. Chronic under-investment in education - particularly in low-income countries - is one of the main causes, the authors say.
