    Summary:
I spent 5 years as a textile Dyer for one of the worlds biggest textile companies, since then I have worked as a QA manager for a large monofilament supplier, a warehouse manager in a logistics company, a textile technologist in a laboratory, a technical support specialist in one of the worlds foremost performance textiles laboratories and I have my current role as QC manager for one of the worlds best Sock manufacturers. My goal was to leave the laboratory behind and to work on my own providing tailored solutions to high street retailers. I still believe that the dyeing and finishing industry needs a new direction putting quality first rather than production and that this can only be achieved through education and auditing. I believe that UK retail needs this kind of approach so that they use accredited suppliers within their chain so that they minimise problems before they even arise, however I am also passionate that UK retail needs additional training to eliminate the scare factor surrounding colouration. I would dearly love to see the textile trade return to the UK, those of us who are still here are making world beating textiles that we are all very proud of. Specialties: Expert in Dyeing and finishing fabric technology General textile testing testing textiles for breathability (cup methods, sweating guarded hotplate) waterproofness (including spray rating, hydrostatic head and bundesmann) durability (print durability, or mechanical durability such as crumple flex, de mattia flex and schildnecht flex) ageing (heat ageing, environmental ageing), abrasion wicking MMT tear strength colour Infra red reflection thermal resistance ( tog value) of fabrics and wadded items.
