    Summary:
I thrive when working with organizations to address the following types of problems: • A disconnect and lack of trust between business areas and IT • An IT department struggling to delivering projects on-time and on-budget • A lack of strategy for choosing between cloud / SaaS offerings and on-premise solutions • Executive leadership that wants reliable data on the value of various enterprise IT options • Pressures to reduce operational costs while at the same time increase strategic IT capabilities • Users that need options for mobile access to data and content that are currently unavailable • Historical difficulty in recruiting and retaining quality IT staff My continuing ambition is to use what I have learned over my 19 years of wide-ranging experiences in information technology to address the problems above within organizations. Each of the problems above is challenging, but surmountable with the right strategy, focus, and leadership. Yes, I have an MBA. Yes, I have led teams in delivering award-winning software solutions for major customers—but more to the point is the number and variety of IT projects I have led and the difficult situations I have learned to work through—or preferably—to anticipate and avoid altogether by using better strategies. Having been in the consultant role for most of my career, I see that the best way to affect positive change within the culture of the organization is to concentrate on the pace of collaborative problem solving. The project summaries below illustrate the variety of IT projects and team experiences that have resulted in the knowledge and skills I bring. For each of these projects, I worked with organization executives, learning their challenges, educating them on the capabilities and benefits of various technologies, and developing strategies for successful implementations of complex enterprise applications.
