Lead the annual standard cost update and provide audit support quarterly.
-Recruit, Train, and Supervise both Cost Accounting and Payroll staff.
-Currently writing a Tariff Analysis program to determine product eligibility for preferential duty treatment under all trade agreements. Program evaluates BOM using tariff shift and country of origin of component parts to determine eligibility based on the specific rules of any agreement.
-Member of the ERP System Implementation Team, performed validation testing, troubleshooting system architecture, and developed new reports and processes for Cost Accounting. After “Go-Live”, conducted daily validations and continued to modify processes and reports. Developed and led internal training to acclimate users to the new system. Serve as the liaison between users and IT to reduce manual effort on large system changes. Provide Level 1 and 2 support for the ERP and General Ledger systems.
-Member of the Payroll System Implementation Team. Worked with the Payroll Manager to convert, and validate all data. Led system testing and validation. Created and tested coding in the new system to automate journal entries that were manually prepared.
-Lead Accounting resource for the Consignment Inventory Team. This team modified the ERP system to accurately track and account for consignment inventory while physically handling the parts in the same manner as regular inventory. This eliminated over 2,500 hours of special processes in affected departments and increased working capital.
