- Mechanical Designer/Drafter at Greene Tweed
Vincent Vaccaro's Summary
Objective - Seeking a position utilizing my expertise in CAD modeling, assembly, drafting, analysis, simulation, design, Product Lifecycle Management, and other mechanical and electromechanical engineering practices.
Experience - NASA -JOHNSON SPACE CENTER - Houston, TX - Mechanical Designer (Contract) - 08/09 - 11/11
Designed several test articles for atmospheric reentry testing including the Apollo command module. Most recently worked on the design of custom electronic emulator equipment for the iLIDS docking station on the International Space Station.
SCHLUMBERGER - Sugar Land, TX - Mechanical Designer- (Contract) - 05/08 - 02/09
This position helped build my electromechanical skills through the modification of preexisting designs for seismic drilling tools and new concept designs for test mounting fixtures using Pro Engineer. We also traveled to a hands-on repair site in Louisiana to analyze failed equipment and determine the best approach for redesign based on location of stress fractures.
NATIONAL OILWEL VARCO- Houston, TX - Mechanical Designer - 07/07 - 05/08
This position introduced me to the design of offshore drilling equipment including riser systems, blowout preventers, spider gimbals and platforms using Pro E primarily with some work in Solid Works and Autocad. ARMOR HOLDINGS - (Now BAE Systems) - Sealy, TX - Mechanical Designer - 04/06 - 07/07
This position introduced me to the mechanical design of military tactical vehicles, primarily the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) program. I implemented design and drafting requests on assemblies using Pro E per engineer’s request. We worked onsite and had access to the vehicles enabling personal inspection to aid in the redesigning process.
