September 2009 — Present (3 months)
We research and design digital games and other interactive media. Our focus is emotion and social connection--how these can be enabled and even enhanced by what we craft. We combine social science and design practices, moving between empiricism and intuition. We innovate in both design and evaluation practices. Current topics include characters and avatars, movement as a game mechanic, and design patterns that enhance learning.
