Tony Steidler-Dennison’s Summary

I am currently the host and producer of The Roadhouse Podcast, a weekly hour of "the finest blues you've never heard." The Roadhouse began on February 19, 2005, in the infancy of podcasting. The Roadhouse specializes in exposing blues from a variety of permissions-based sources to a wide audience. By securing permissions directly, The Roadhouse works with nearly two dozen blues labels, both large and small. Many of these labels service The Roadhouse as they do radio stations, with regular mailings of new CD releases and supporting media materials. The show is offered in both ad-supported (free) and ad-free (for-pay) versions. It also airs weekly on KYOURadio in San Francisco and KEGR in Concorde, CA.

TLM New Media is our podcast and new media production company. It serves primarily as the parent company for all income derived from The Roadhouse. Current clients and projects include WesPAC ("The ClarkCast"), Libsyn Pro ("PRS Podcast" from the American Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons) and IndieFeed ("IndieFeed Blues").

As a Systems Engineer at Rockwell Collins, I am exploring and implementing open source technologies to provide avionics and cabin data solutions to major commercial aircraft providers.

Among several projects, I created a compact flash-based Linux operating system for use in an upcoming Boeing aircraft. I created bash and Perl scripts to provide dataloading and integrity-checking services for a line-replaceable cabin server for Airbus. I am also actively managing a project to provide cockpit voice recognition systems to a major business and regional aircraft supplier.

In addition to hands-on Linux and open source work, I write and perform systems verification tests to assure compliance to customer requirements, and provide artifacts from these activities in support of aircraft certification by the Federal Aviation Administration.
