Tom Haepers’s Summary

During my working as an ICT professional I have had the opportunity to work on a great variety of projects in different roles. Having worked as a consultant for most of my career, I took the role of programmer, project manager, trainer, coach, functional analyst, and architect.
I have always felt much affinity to everything that was information technology related, making sure that I always stand at the forefront of new technological advancements.
As a project manager I have managed medium projects, where I was responsible for capturing functional and technical requirements, liaising with customers, keeping track of budget constraints, and managing people. This requires a great understanding of a customer’s requirements and needs.
As an architect I have been responsible for architecting solutions, frameworks and technical infrastructures, applying my past experiences to devise solutions that are high-performing, scalable and easy to maintain.

Microsoft platform and products: .NET 2.0, .NET 3.5 (WCF, WF), SQL Server, BizTalk, Enterprise Services, Webservices, MSMQ, ASP.NET, Ajax, ...
In that area I like to stress the importance of SOA, security, scaleability, performance, maintainability and the software project lifecycle.
I'm interested in MSF, RUP, XP, Scrum, and other agile methodologies.
I'm open to other technologies like Oracle, Java, LAMP, etcetera.
