The daughter of mouth-foaming Christian revolutionaries, Tina was born into a splinter sect so fringe, it makes normal cult apologists shudder.
An irreverent yet unassuming humorist, Tina was born for the work. ”Prostitutes are known for their hearts of gold. You never hear anyone say that about satirists,” she laments.
Sometimes an anti-social commentator, sometimes a comedian and always a wedge issue enthusiast, Tina is currently an award-winning writer and a freelance investigative journalist. Her work has been published in such fine publications as the Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, LA Weekly, Newsday, Pittsburgh-Post Gazette, The Beast and the LA Daily News among others.
She’s the editor at Mediabisto’s FishbowlLA and blogs occasionally at the Huffington Post.
This is what people are saying about Tina:
“Tina Dupuy is among the smartest, funniest women I know. Scratch that. Among the smartest, funniest people I know. Her reading at my THINKING ALLOWED show at the IMPROV could not have been sharper. Dupuy might just be the one we’ve all been waiting for, the person who can bring gonzo journalism into the twenty-first century.” –Dylan Brody
“Tina is not merely funny, and not merely smart– she has the wit and will to make people think.” –Dave Saldana
“Whenever you are dreading reading about politics, check out Tina’s blogs because you will walk away a happier person. ” – Lydia Popp
“Does anyone know what this filthy whore is even talking about?” –Pastor Fred Phelps, of the Westboro Baptist Church.
Anything absurd: politics, social justice, community organizing, loose interpretations of the law, media, US history. Wonky staples: food history, South American cultures, marathon running, traveling, geek culture, anything to do with sharks...

I toured the entire country as a stand up comic. The duties involved are the telling and writing of jokes both blue and highbrow, lots of driving and/or sitting around in airports and dodging the occasional beer bottle.
