Beside my great interest in science I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing and bi-cycling in the summer time and cross-country skiing and snowboarding during the winter. Besides that I spend most of my time with my wife and two boys doing whatever we feel like doing.
I am a member of the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (Naturskyddsföreningen).
I was honored by the AstraZeneca Global Scientific and Technical Achievment Award in 2007.
