Mr. Theofanis Giotis is Co-Founder, owner & CEO of ITEC Training SA & ITEC Solutions SA since 1988. Also he is Co-Founder & President of PMI GREECE since 2004.
Theofanis has over 20 years of professional experience in Project and Program Management, Information Technology, Economics, Operational Research and Management. As an entrepreneur, consultant and trainer, Theofanis has worked in different cultural environments mainly in EMEA region. Since 1992, he was heavily involved in Project Management as part of a team to setup the first PMO in Greece for managing a €200 million project.
Since 1987 he has managed hundreds of IT/TELCO projects. As an ICT expert he has envisioned, planned, designed, developed & implemented hundreds of IT/IS projects. He has experience in 2/3 tier applications using different programming languages and tools. Also, since 1987 he has gained more than 22.000 consulting & training hours.
He has given more 100 presentations in ICT & Project Management and has passed more than 80 professional certifications. Since Sept. 2005, he has published more than 80 articles for Project Management.
Theofanis holds a BA in Economics from University of Athens, Greece and a MSc in Management (O.R.) from Lancaster University, UK. Also he holds a Computer Programming/Systems Analysis degree from ACE College, Greece. He was certified as a PMP in 2004 and graduated from PMI Leadership Institute Masters Class (LIMC) in 2007.
Theofanis serves as the International corresponded of PM Forum and PM Ambassador in Greece. Also he is a member of PMI, IEEE, ISACA & AMACON.
Since 2001, he has taught more than 69 Project Management and PMP® preparations courses with more than 752 attendees. As of July 2008, he has trained over 35% of all Greek PMPs.
He is a visiting professor at University of Piraeus, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and BCA College teaching MIS, Project Management, Portfolio Management and EPM at MBA level.
