Tabish Rizvi’s Summary

Tabish Rizvi is a member of the firm’s capital markets group and focuses primarily on financing and structuring real estate transactions, both domestic and international. Mr. Rizvi is also leading the capital formation for a $300 million real estate opportunity fund that the firm plans to sponsor.

The youngest of three Managing Members, Tabish Rizvi has been “marrying capital with brilliant ideas” since 1999. He has amassed considerable capital markets expertise through positions in private equity, management consulting, and investment banking. Prior to Henna, Tabish Rizvi was an Associate in Deutsche Bank’s Real Estate Group, where he advised corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and other transactions, such as the USD $13 billion strategic separation of a global hospitality conglomerate.

Mr. Rizvi’s involvement in private equity started with a ground floor opportunity with The Capital Markets Company, later Capco, where he analyzed the rationale for a brand new $30 million e/finance incubation practice (“Capco Ventures”) supporting venture capital and early-stage private equity candidates. Consequently, his team helped raise USD $100 million, structured as mezzanine debt from Thomas Weisel Partners, for a fund that would make strategic investments vetted by Capco and help grow the firm’s own North American footprint.

Mr. Rizvi, who lives in New York City, earned his Master of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from the Columbia Business School in New York, New York, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with Concentrations in Finance and Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A licensed real estate broker in the State of New York, he is also a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst® (C.F.A.) designation, which is a globally recognized standard for acknowledging the competence and integrity of investment professionals.
