With nearly 10 years of experience developing cutting-edge NLP software for a broad range of business applications, I bring a lot of practical knowledge to the table. By working in different settings with different back end implementations, I have learned what works and what doesn't work for particular business goals. This has enabled me to focus on what will meet the needs of the current business goal in the most efficient manner, rather than approaching every problem from a single theoretical perspective. My proven team leadership and programming experience enable me to guide projects to market.
Projects have included rules-based machine translation, text analytics and entity extraction, as well as applying statistical methods of NLP. Most recently, at matchmine, I focused on remodeling established document analysis and classification methods to meet the requirements of a new model of content-representation--namely, the n-dimensional vector space content model employed by matchmine.
I am looking forward to meeting new challenges in NLP-related technologies where I can continue to pioneer and implement solutions to today's business problems.
