  I laugh for a living. Most Thursday and Friday nights for the past decade I have been hard at work -- laughing in an aisle seat. In between, I interview the stars of the stage, and sometimes musicians, authors, choreographers, directors, etc. Somebody has to do it!

  I supervised a staff about a dozen reviewers and feature writers -- which is a lot like herding cats -- as well as planning sections, scheduling photographers, rewriting free lance copy, attending meetings. I used to tell people -- they pay me a lot to answer the phone, the trick is you have to know the answer.
