My professional experience is primarily in research, teaching and administration within higher education. I have research experience ranging from large quantitative data sets to interview-based and other types of qualitative data. My teaching experience ranges from Intro courses in Environmental Studies and Sociology, to Research Methods, Consumerism, Human Dimensions of Environmental Problems, and Health and Environment. Administratively, I have experience Chairing the Environmental Studies Program and Department of Sociology at the University of San Francisco.

I chaired the Environmental Studies Program from 2006-2009 and teach courses on the topics of human-caused environmental changes and social responses. I advise and mentor our Environmental Studies majors who are looking for careers in environment-related fields. I also conduct research on the mobilization of movements to address the links between environmental contamination and human health. I am on sabbatical during the 2009-2010 academic year.
