December 1984 — May 1989 (4 years 6 months)
Moved up to the corporate world of suits. Ok, at least a tie was dressed up for me. I entered the ghost-town of a Communications Department - look out, there's a new AD in town! From specing type, to the keyline and paste-up of hundreds of applications - product lines brochures, employee newletters, Agent magazines and Annual Reports - came the PO's up the wazoo. Don't get rid of the stat camera just yet! Challenged a lot, learned a lot, and matured a lot. Seriously, I was blessed with the pleasure of working with talented people. It must have rubbed off.

August 1980 — December 1984 (4 years 5 months)
Fresh out of college with an earnest desire to work at a Chicago studio, the only offer is best described as a pond-scum position. But less than a mile from home, I landed the freedom to create promotion materials for health clubs, hotel specials, restaurant and bar events, signage, newsletters, make coffee and clean the copier. Wooo Hooo.
