Stacy Linder's Summary

Stacy Linder is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She specializes in stress reduction and trauma healing by utilizing Somatic Experiencing (SE), an integration of neurophysiology and psychotherapy concepts. She believes that most people are underperforming in their careers and in their relationships because of low grade, chronic stress. She has created a holistic modality that combines principles of neurophysiology, psychology, and natural horsemanship to help professionals significantly reduce stress, vicarious trauma, and develop professional skills based in new ideas learned from neuroscience and neurobiology.

Stacy sees clients in her private practice in Walnut Creek specifically for trauma and stress reduction. Trauma includes emotional, developmental, accidents, falls, situations that cause helplessness, situations that seem too overwhelming, and witnessing a traumatic event. Stacy also sees clients, mostly professionals, in Livermore working with horses to reduce stress, develop professional skills, and increase overall well being.

HorseWhispers supports people working in the "helping" professions by reducing stress, reducing burn-out, and reducing secondary trauma. Horsewhispers integrates natural horsemanship, (learning to communicate with horses through horse behavior, non verbal communication, and genuine relationship), somatic experiencing (working directly with the nervous system, in small titrated patterns to reduce stress symptoms in the body), and psychology/emotional intelligence (understanding how to connect to others through neurobiology, deeper principles in social engagement, communication, and leadership to boost professional development).

HorseWhispers also offers trauma healing for people involved in horse-related accidents. This therapy is helpful to anyone that has a fear of horses, has been involved in a horse-related fall, or has witnessed a horse related accident.
